Pettmans Beach

On Friday afternoon the 23rd of November we packed up and headed for Lake Tyers or more specifically Pettmans Beach on the Eastern side of Lake Tyers. We left at around 5:15 pm and after a quick stop at KFC in Bairnsdale for dinner we arrived at 8:45 pm and set up camp.

We woke the next morning to sunny skies and went for a walk along the beach. After lunch we went for a drive to Nowa Nowa and brought some Pilchards, then went fishing at Camerons Arm and Glasshouse camping areas - No Luck.

After tea we tried our luck with the remaining pilchards in the surf - No Luck.

The next day we woke to clear skies again and enjoyed another walk along the beach. The kids used their body boards to go sand surfing on the dunes separating the beach from the camping area.

After packing up we left and headed for Lake Tyers, stopping to do some more fishing at Burnt Bridge - No Luck. Are you starting to get an idea about what sort of fisherman I am? My poor son, he just wants to catch a fish. It was a great spot for lunch.
