11th August, 2014

Today we decided to do one of the 5 short walks that Home Valley Station offers. We choose the 6 kilometre walk to Bindoola Gorge Lookout which stated it would take 3-4 hours. The walk led through very open woodland, up some slab rock and out onto an escarpment where there were two vantage points to view the gorge from. The Cockburn Ranges were also visible from the viewing points as well most of the way back down the track to the Station. The walk was very hot being out in the open and there is not a lot of shade along the way.

This evening just before sunset we drove out to Bindoola Falls, which was not very well signed and had a look at waterfall which isn't flowing at this time of the year. It was very picturesque and provided better views of the gorge then our walk this morning.

Then we had a quick look at Ngarly Lagoon which looked alright but it was getting on dark by the time we got there.
