5th August, 2014

Today we decided to make a morning visit to Zebedee Springs, which is a short drive back from our campsite, through the Station Township and across a couple of creek crossings. There were a few people there when we arrived but we all managed to find our own little piece of paradise amongst the palms and the spring fed water. We spent a couple of hours up here soaking our bodies in the water, which is always somewhere between 28 and 32 degrees.

We headed back to camp for Nachos on the Weber as well as lunch and then took a drive out to Pigeon Hole. The drive was about 8 k's from our campsite. We had to cross the Penetecost River again and then make an easy but low range climb up to a fantastic lookout which takes in a sweeping bend on the Pentecost. We continued on down the track which became rockier and included a couple of nice steps to test out the 4wd. When we got to the end we grabbed the fishing rods and tried our luck in Pigeons Hole but yet again we didn't have any.

It's been a cold day in the Kimberley today only reaching a maximum of 27 degrees, we even had a fire back at camp tonight as the temperature cooled under a cloudless sky.
